Revenge of the Sith Plot Story Script Summary Synopsis

General Grievous has captured Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and Grievous is attempting to flee the skies of Coruscant with Palpatine. The Jedi make a desperate attempt to rescue Palpatine. Arriving in Jedi star fighters, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi are able to successfully get on board Grievous' star ship called the Invisible Hand.

Anakin and Obi-Wan eventually confront Grievous, who ends up retreating. Then a showdown happens between Anakin and Obi-Wan vs. Count Dooku also known as Darth Tyranus. Obi-Wan is taken out of the fight. Anakin and Dooku continue the fight and Anakin ends up killing Dooku. The Invisible Hand is badly damaged and it is crashing down towards the surface of Coruscant. Anakin safely lands the Invisible Hand on Coruscant.

Later on, Obi-Wan hunts down General Grievous and Obi-Wan kills Grievous after a thrilling chase sequence and battle. Meanwhile, Mace Windu learns that Palpatine is in fact the Sith Master that the Jedi have been looking for. With several other Jedi at his side, Mace Windu confronts Palpatine at Palpatine's office on Coruscant.

A light saber duel erupts with Darth Sidious quickly killing the Jedi, who were with Mace Windu. Next, a massive light saber duel happens between Mace Windu vs. Darth Sidious. However, Mace Windu has Sidious defeated, but Anakin arrives at the last second.

Anakin believes it's not right to kill Palpatine and then Anakin betrays Mace Windu by cutting off Windu's hand with Anakin's light saber. Darth Sidious then strikes Windu with Force lightning, which sends Windu flying outside the window of Palpatine's office. Windu plummets down into the depths of the Coruscant dark underground.

Darth Sidious declares the formation of the first Galactic Empire and Sidious initiates Order 66, which makes the clone troops kills their Jedi generals. Yoda is fighting the Separatist droid military on the Wookiee home world of Kashyyyk when the clone troops turn on Yoda. However, Yoda avoids being killed and escapes from the clone army.

Meanwhile, Anakin and many clone troops march on the Jedi Temple and wipe out everyone at the Jedi Temple including the Jedi younglings. Anakin starts a beacon calling all the Jedi to a trap on Coruscant. Yoda and Obi-Wan eventually arrive at the Jedi Temple and are witnesses to the Sith brutality. Obi-Wan reverses the beacon Anakin turned on so that the remaining Jedi will be warned of what's really happening.

Obi-Wan and Yoda devise a plan whereby they will confront and destroy the Sith Lords. Yoda will face Darth Sidious while Obi-Wan will reluctantly fight Anakin, who is now named Darth Vader.

Obi-Wan goes to see Padme to find out where Anakin is located. Padme refuses to betray Anakin. Padme leaves Coruscant in her star ship and Obi-Wan hides on board it so that Padme will unwittingly take Obi-Wan to Anakin.

Meanwhile, Yoda vs. Darth Sidious happens in the Galactic Senate. A massively spectacular light saber battle erupts between Yoda and Sidious, which will determine the ultimate fate of the entire galaxy.

Next, Padme arrives on Mustafar and Padme learns Anakin really has fallen to the dark side. Obi-Wan emerges from the shadows. Immediately, Anakin believes Padme betrayed Anakin by bringing Obi-Wan with her to Mustafar. Anakin Force chokes Padme.

Eventually, Anakin releases the Force choke on Padme and Obi-Wan tries to convince Anakin to return back to the light side of the Force. Anakin is enraged and will not listen to his former master. A furious mega light saber duel breaks out between Anakin vs. Obi-Wan.

Back on Coruscant, Yoda retreats from the battle and escapes with Bail Organa in an air speeder. On Mustafar, the most amazing light saber fight in the history of the galaxy unfolds. Eventually, Obi-Wan has the high ground and Obi-Wan warns Anakin not to attack. With infinite rage, Anakin charges at Obi-Wan.

As Anakin jumps in the air, Obi-Wan slices off Anakin's arms and legs. Anakin falls to the ground defeated by Obi-Wan. Anakin lands near a lava flow and catches on fire. Anakin screams out with intense pain. Believing Anakin can't survive his injuries, Obi-Wan abandons the battle to take care of Padme.

Later on, Obi-Wan and Yoda are together with Padme at a medical center in an attempt to save Padme's life. Back on Mustafar, the clone troops arrive and save Anakin. Sidious has Anakin taken to a medical area where medical droids heal Anakin's severe wounds and they also create the legendary black Darth Vader mask and armor for Anakin.

In her last moments alive, Padme gives birth to the Skywalker twins and gives them the names Luke and Leia. Padme passes away from the living world because of her injuries and also from a broken heart.

The dreaded Darth Vader rises from a medical table and is told Vader killed Padme. Vader goes berserk and destroys the room he's in with the Force. Next, Vader and Sidious appear on the deck of a large star ship with a young Tarkin as the three watch the death star under construction.

Yoda heads to Dagobah to hide from the Empire. Bail Organa takes Leia Skywalker to Alderaan to be a member of his family. The movie ends with Obi-Wan riding up to the Lars homestead on Tatooine.

Obi-Wan gives young Luke Skywalker to Uncle Owen and Beru Lars to raise as their own child. Silently with no hope at all for the future, Obi-Wan walks away and rides off into the wilderness of Tatooine until the will of the Force brings Obi-Wan out of the shadows to introduce the older Luke Skywalker to the ways of the Force. Iris out. Begin the roll of the Revenge of the Sith production end credits.
