Attack of the Clones Script Plot Summary

The movie opens with Padme Amidala's star ship arriving on Coruscant. The star ship lands and a person appearing to be Padme emerges from the star ship and explosions rock the landing bay.

It turns out that a decoy is in the role of Padme. Instead, Padme is disguised and rushes over to her decoy, who has been killed.

Later on, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi are watching guard over Padme at Padme's apartment on Coruscant.

A bounty hunter named Zam Wesell releases a probe droid armed with strange exotic creatures in order to kill Padme.

The strange creatures enter Padme's apartment, but Anakin and Obi-Wan are able to eliminate the creatures.

Next, Obi-Wan and Anakin pursue Wesell in a high speed chase in the skies of Coruscant in air speeders.

The chase ends up in a nightclub. Eventually, Obi-Wan and Anakin capture Wesell, but another bounty hunter named Jango Fett kills Wesell with a poison dart.

Obi-Wan investigates further trying to find the mysterious bounty hunter, who killed Wesell.

The clues lead Obi-Wan to the water world called Kamino. Anakin and Padme leave Coruscant for the safety of Naboo. While on Naboo, Padme and Anakin begin to fall in love.

Meanwhile, on Kamino, Obi-Wan discovers there is a large clone army being grown for the Old Republic.

A battle between Obi-Wan vs. Jango Fett occurs, but Jango Fett manages to escape with Jango's son named Boba Fett, but Obi-Wan is able to attach a tracking device to Jango's star ship.

Obi-Wan chases after Jango and they engage in a space battle. After Jango believes he has killed Obi-Wan, Jango then proceeds to the planet Geonosis, but Obi-Wan is still alive and silently follows Jango to Geonosis.

Anakin and Padme rush to Tatooine in order for Anakin to save his mother Shmi Skywalker. Anakin learns Shmi has married Cliegg Lars and even worse Shmi has been captured by the Tusken Raiders Sand People.

Anakin rides off into the Tatooine wilderness on a swoop bike to find Shmi. Anakin finds a Tusken Raider village where Shmi is being held captive. Shmi dies in Anakin's arms and Anakin becomes so enraged that Anakin wipes out all the Sand People in the village.

Meanwhile, on Geonosis, Obi-Wan has been captured by Count Dooku. Eventually, Anakin and Padme arrive on Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan, but Padme and Anakin are also captured.

Obi-Wan, Anakin and Padme are scheduled to be executed in the battle arena on Geonosis. However, about 200 Jedi Knights arrive to rescue the heroes.

A massive fight erupts between the Jedi vs. battle droids. Eventually, the clone army arrives to save the Jedi from the battle droids.

Count Dooku also known as Lord Darth Tyranus flees the Geonosis arena. Anakin, Padme and Obi-Wan chase after Dooku in a clone troop transport ship.

Padme falls from the transport and is left behind so that Obi-Wan and Anakin can capture Dooku.

In a docking bay, Dooku arrives to make his escape. However, Obi-Wan and Anakin confront Dooku before Dooku can flee.

A thrilling light saber duel erupts between Obi-Wan and Anakin vs. Dooku. Obi-Wan is injured and is out of the fight.

The light saber fight continues between Dooku and Anakin with Dooku cutting off one of Anakin's arms.

Both Obi-Wan and Anakin have been defeated by Dooku, but Yoda arrives just in time to prevent Dooku from harming the heroes.

A spectacular light saber battle takes place between Yoda vs. Count Dooku. After a few minutes, Dooku escapes by distracting Yoda with Dooku's attempt to crush Anakin and Obi-Wan with a massive object.

The film ends with C3PO and R2D2 as witnesses to the marriage between Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala.
