The heroes (Queen Amidala, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and the infinitely brilliant Jar Jar Binks) arrive on Naboo with the hopes of ending the Trade Federation blockade and conquest of Naboo. The Gungans (the extraterrestrial species of Jar Jar) agree to help Amidala fight the Trade Federation droid military.

Meanwhile, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon engage in a fantastic and mesmerizing light saber duel against the Sith Lord Darth Maul. At the same time, Anakin and R2-D2 find themselves in the middle of fierce space battle above the atmosphere of Naboo.

Darth Maul kills Qui-Gon, but Obi-Wan defeats Darth Maul as a result of Obi-Wan being the luckiest Jedi in the history of the galaxy.

Anakin manages to annihilate the Trade Federation space craft, which controls all the battle droids on the surface of Naboo. As a result, the Gungans destroy the helpless military droids in a stunning land battle.

The Phantom Menace finishes with Qui-Gon being given a proper Jedi funeral by fire and Anakin becomes a Jedi Knight to be trained by Obi-Wan. The citizens of Naboo celebrate their freedom in a grand parade.
